Scarecrow in the Rain - 52 Photo Project - Week 15

If you've been reading my blog the last couple of weeks you will know that I haven't taken many photos and it was nearly some pictures of rain on a leaf (they sound dull but were quite cool actually) as it has rained quite a lot this week. Proper April showers.

Then today the sun shone when Grandma came to look after the girls as I was going to work. This is only my third day in my new job after being unemployed for almost 6 months so it seemed right to capture this moment, as part of this Project for me is capturing a photo that says something about the week. The photo is not about me or work but what the girls made in the garden with Grandma while I was at work. They had a lovely day playing with Grandma and this probably wouldn't have happened if they'd been with me!

They made a scarecrow and this is it - photographed later by me after the sun had gone and just after it had started to rain again (and improved of course!). He's very simple but they were very proud of him and if you could see closer he has about 4 faces scary faces drawn on his plant pot head! Daddy rather liked him when he came home and we think we might strengthen him up a bit, put some clothes on him and move him to the veg patch!

Simple scarecrow

  2. A lovely scarecrow too, and a cool frame so he is not so bare. Hope he does his job there!
