Nov 22nd - #NaBloPoMo - Post 22 - Free letters from Santa

I have said before that all this NaBloPoMoing is slightly tricky to fit in with getting ready for Christmas but we have managed to write our letters to Santa.

Little Miss Star's letter to Santa

Now I am sure most of you know about the free Royal Mail Santa letters for children but just in case you don't I thought I might tell everyone about it. Now there are numerous websites and catalogues that offer to write a letter from Santa to your children which will no doubt be a little more personal but in these days of the credit crunch spending money on a letter from Santa seems a bit extravagant (and they're not cheap) although there are some worthwhile ones where your money will go to charity such as the one from the NSPCC.

However if you want to get a free letter from the man himself all you have to do is send your child's letter - or yours if they're little like Little Miss Sunshine, along with their name and address to

Santa/Father Christmas,
Santa’s Grotto,
Reindeerland,
SAN TA1

Oh and don't forget to put a stamp on the envelope! You will need to send it by Wed 14th December and the earlier you send it the more likely you will definitely get a reply. They do reply to all of them but obviously the later it gets the more likely it gets lost in the post or arrives after Christmas. The reply back is usually an illustrated letter addressed to your child maybe with a puzzle or colouring page attached.

The girls enjoyed drawing pictures to go with their letters too - the one on the left is Little Miss Stars and the one on the right is a very fetching Santa drawn by Little Miss Sunshine!

  1. Love the photos and what a great idea.

I always used to write letters from Santa to the children which they got after posting their letters along with a bag of reindeer food (porridge oats and glitter) to spread on the path so that Santa could find our house.

  2. That's a great idea, thanks for the tip! My oldest is desperate to sit down and do his list - he'd be chuffed if we went together to post it off!
