Our Little Star - 52 Photo Project - Week 6

 PGraisingolympians

I am reposting this as an entry to the #PGRaisingOlympians Celebrate Their Success Linky, sponsored by P&G on Britmums. To be honest I'm not a big one for going overboard on celebrating small children's successes. For instance Little Miss Star gets a great report every year but she's never had anything more than a cuddle and a well done but one week back in February she did do really really well so I baked her the worst cake I have ever baked! She enjoyed it though.

I do think the whole presents thing is a bit over the top these days. I expect my children to do their best and if they do well they will be praised. When they get their gold Olympic medal I might just give them a present (I am joking but I do admit to a touch of the Tiger Mummy.) Here's my original post - complete with pic of terrible cake:

At one stage this picture was going to be snow (obviously) as even though it hasn't snowed as much here as some places we have been enjoying a bit of the white stuff but you can see some of my snow pictures on here already.

So what is it to be this week? Well apologies for the boasting to anyone who can't stand the 'my kids are so wonderful posts' but Little Miss Star really deserves this weeks post. She won the half term Star award (appropriately enough!) for Most Improved Person in her class at school, she has moved up a swimming group AND she got player of the week at tag rugby #proudmummy (for anyone knows twitter!) and besides you can all have a good laugh at possibly the worst looking cake I have ever made (but it still tasted quite yummy!)

I love that she plays tag rugby - my 2 eldest boys play rugby but my Daughter just doesn't want to.
