Rain and Gardening - 52 Photo Project - Week 16 - National Gardening Week Post 7

This week has been about getting back to a new kind of normal. Not only has it been the first week back at school after the Easter Hols but it is my first proper week back as a part-time working mum. Luckily as my new job is only 5 hours a day for 3 days a week this does not impact on the girls too much. I can still take them to school and nursery and still pick them up again. We even managed to walk both ways most days - except when it rained so hard even we didn't want to walk (rain being the other story of the week!)

Little Miss Sunshine has had to change her days at nursery and on Friday afternoons she is going back to our old childminder and she was so thrilled about this that she kept asking how many sleeps it was 'til she went - bless her! Other than that there has been little change. I have been settling into my new job - it feels a little strange to be working again but good.

So what picture to choose? We haven't really done anything- I can't really take pictures of my new job, I have taken a few arty shots of raindrops but this project is about remembering what we've all done this week and one thing we have done is (despite the rain) got out in the garden. Now I have been banging on about gardening and allotments all week for National Gardening Week - so here's a picture of the girls helping out in the veg patch today between showers.

And do you know what for the first time ever I am going to break the rules and use a second picture too - arty raindrops in garden coming up (well it did rain A LOT!)

  1. some times I add a 2nd pic depending on the topic being covered, in fact with the oe I linked up last week there were about a dozen, thought I put one up and the others a clickable link to see the rest of the fun we had.
its nice for families to do these things together, but love the arty shot

  3. A big gold medal for getting the kids into gardening. That's one area sadly neglected in our house. A lovely image

  4. The rain drops on the leaves is a fab shot and sums April up very well! The photo showing your girls getting stuck in with some gardening is great because I think it's good for children to learn where our food comes from. Xx

  12. Fab pics. We've been braving the rain too, at least not so much watering can action is required!
