Cakes, biscuits and the end of term - Project 52 - Week 51

I am quite relieved it is the end of term and the madness of the last few weeks is finally at an end. I am really hoping I can now relax and enjoy some Christmas spirit. Oldest has already collapsed into bed with end of term poorliness but we still managed a trip to the best Christmas garden centre ever, complete with real live donkeys, reindeer, pigs and goats and as an end of term treat we had cakes and hot chocolate in the cafe.

Earlier in the week we busied ourselves making presents for the teachers. I was really quite proud of them this year if I say so myself! We never spend on much on them but usually make edible treats and dress them up with bows and ribbons. This year it was iced Christmas biscuits in 75p jars from Ikea - bargain and they looked great (in my humble opinion!!) I was tempted to post some rather lovely pics of the Christmas scenes at the garden centre but I've gone with a montage of the cakes and biscuits instead.

Merry Christmas everyone!

  1. Lucky teachers - it's hard to keep the costs down, but that's a fab idea. I hope you're all healthy and well in time for Christmas!

  2. Hope you're all well soon - we too have had the lurgy. Like the Christmas biscuits idea for teacher presents. Merry Christmas.

  3. All getting better - touch wood! Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for all the lovely comments this year!
