I thought I would do a post about some of the common wildflowers here in the UK this week. Some of them are so common they are often thought of as weeds but they can still be beautiful.
A Wild Rose
Buttercup
Red clover
the (very) Common Daisy
the (slightly less) Common Orchid

exquisite... would be lovely to share with I Heart Macro too:-) I am passionate about "weed/wildflowers"... often I prefer them to cultivars... something so appealing about their tenacity and often tender appearance, year after year.
Thank you for reminding us to look for beautiful flowers outside the garden. Makes me want to walk out and pay attention! Even better, thanks for the id--some unfamiliar to me. And let's not forget the great photos either!
I would be happy to see these wildflowers in my garden. Your photos are gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing again with Today's Flowers. Wishing you a very happy week, Denise Today’s Flowers An English Girl Rambles

ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing wildflowers around the world, many we have too. Your common daisy is tinged with pink - that I like!
