A Year in Pictures - Week 40

The 'bloody boiler', as it is now known has featured heavily this week and I have seen more plumbers than I ever want to in my kitchen. However I think that maybe, just maybe it is finally fixed - cross fingers, touch wood etc etc. *prays to the mighty God of Boilers*

In other news we spent a bit of time outside doing another of our 50things, collecting conkers and going on a National Trust Great British Walk (you can read more about all that here.) I worked a lot, (and even caught up on blogging) , there was brownie badge excitement and Bigger Miss did brilliantly at school getting another Achievers award and two 'Headteachers Awards'

National Trust Great British Walk, Surrey Hills,
On inset day we didn't have much time to go out because of the 'bloody boiler' but we did manage to get out for a couple of hours and try one of the National Trust's #GBwalks. This is the view from the Temple of the Four Winds across the South Downs - not a bad view even on a misty, murky day.

golden brown fungi
I have transferred my obsession for flowers to fungi - fascinating stuff but I have no idea what any of them are!

Headteacher Award
A touch of sparkle for Bigger Miss who went and got herself another head teacher's award and enjoyed looking at her new Brownie Badge book for inspiration.

To see how autumn is treating the other peeps head on over to the Boy and Me:
